Sat 25 June,2011 - cool 11 C, with wind and drizzle. Not the nicest day to celebrate my friend Alden's 50 birthday. But we will.
Got most of the garden in last night, still need to re-plant some chard, mesclun, lettuce, carrots, coriander etc.
Watching one of our cats sleeping this AM reminded me of how very, very blessed we are, and it was being mirrored by our cat, sleeping without fear of being attacked or harmed in any way.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to live on this little farm in Nova Scotia, to create a place of sanctuary and beauty with my partner and wife Mary. Loving her is the most profound thing I do for myself.
Difficult to believe that we were on this beach with my son Trevor and daughter-in-law Danica a week ago. What a beautiful day that was, it was like stepping from NS to somewhere in the Caribbean, white sand, turquoise waters and warm, aahhhh! Where's my rum swizzle?
